The Evertsdal RETRO Relay Doubles 2024 is set to deliver exciting squash action with unique rules and formats. Teams must stick to specific parameters, and the game involves strategic player switches every 10 points. The event will also feature a Retro Olympics, adding an extra layer of fun and competition. Our Story
The Evertsdal Chronicles
Established in 1978 by an enthusiastic group of 100 members, Evertsdal Squash Club quickly entered the competitive scene by 1979. The 1980s were a transformative period for the club, as it added new courts and social areas to enhance the member experience. Today, the club thrives under the leadership of Chairman Anthony Batchelor, Club Captain Chris Goslin, and the devoted Evertsdal Squash Club committee. However, the true cornerstone of the club’s enduring success is its vibrant and committed membership, who have been instrumental in shaping the club into the competitive and community-focused institution it is today.

- The membership period is from January to December. Fees are paid pro-rata for the year. See the full breakdown here
- The admin fee is a once off fee payable only when joining
- Additional keys fee is for replacement keys or if an additional key is required for family members
- Qualifying age for pensioners is 65
- Students are school going scholars or students studying full time at a tertiary institution under the age of 23
- Auto-lights is active for all bookings. The court booking fee of R35 is for the court. EVT does not charge a seperate fee or rate for guests. Bookings are for 45min.

Squash Your Curiosity: Your Go-To Guide for Evertsdal Squash Club.
Members have access to the club 24/7. The main entrance gate on Mountain View Drive might be locked at times; the access code is included with your membership details. There’s also an entrance at the back of the club on Gillian Street.
We offer top-notch squash courts, a cozy bar for socializing, and a dedicated braai area for post-match gatherings or weekend cookouts.
Yes, parking is available on Mountain View Drive. Please ensure you do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle. Additional parking is available at the back of the club on Gillian Street.
Courts can be booked via the GoBook online system. For a full guide on booking courts and paying for lights, see the article under the membership menu on home page. Once you have booked a court, you simply arrive on time and walk onto your court to play. There is no need to activate the court. Lights are charged at R35 per 45min. Please cancel your booking within 2 hours of the booking otherwise you will still pay the R35 for your court. (It would be nice to cancel ahead of time so that someone else can book.)
Yes, guests are welcome. Simply pay for the court booking, and your guest can play. Guests can also join you in our entertainment area for a refreshment. Some clubs charge a seperate fee for allowing guests to play, but that is not the case at EVT. EVT also don’t penalize the member with a surcharge for playing with a guest.
Make sure the club committee has your most up-to-date email address. Visit our club website regularly and join our WhatsApp groups for real-time updates on events and activities.
Absolutely! We encourage all members to participate in leagues and tournaments. Evertsdal Squash Club prides itself on the active participation of its members in various WP Leagues, tournaments, and events.
•Monday Nights: Ladies’ league matches
•Tuesday Nights: Top men’s squash leagues
•Wednesday Nights: Mid-tier league teams
•Thursday Nights: Lower men’s league teams and masters’ league matches. During off-season there is Thursday night Round Robin Doubles, or Fantasy league.
•Saturdays: “Saturday Doubles” starting at 11:30 AM, followed by a braai, music, and fun
While we don’t have a dedicated coach on staff, our community of passionate and skilled squash players is more than willing to help beginners improve their skills. Just ask for assistance, and our members will gladly offer tips and techniques.
